9. How is the weather like in Ghana?
The average temperature in Ghana is 25° - 35° C) so we advice that guest bring alot of warm cloths. However, the weather changes frequently and can vary a lot from day to day or even hour to hour.
We have two rainy seasons and most of those days it rains alot, with periods of sunshine too. We usually have nice sunny weather all year round.
10. What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring summer or light cloths because our temperature is high. If you are from a cold climate, please bring sun cream and lotions. A rainproof jacket or coat is suggested for rainy seasons.
You should also bring your own personal toiletry items (shampoo, toothpaste, etc). You do not need to bring any bedding or household items for your homestay.
11. Can a member of my family live with me at my host's home?
Yes and No, Yes because in Ghana some families may want a visitor to stay but not for longer days. But homestays are for the homestay guest only. Most homes might allow but it interferes with the process of forming a relationship with the host. Please make a hotel reservation, and read our information about airport pickups for non-homestay visitors. Also, please let us know in advance if your family or friends are coming with you.
